Young Artists Transforming Communities (YATC) supported by British Columbia Arts Council and the Leon and Thea Koerner Awards Program is a collaboration between LOVE program youth and emerging youth, senior, and professional artists that explores the challenges facing youth today through digital story-telling methods. The model is focused on collaboration, where artists will work with LOVE youth to explore and create art that is relevant to the concerns of the participants and their community. Through a combination of media arts skills training, critical theory, and artistic engagement, youth created videos, photographs, music, text, websites, communication materials, etc., that enabled them to reflect on their personal experiences and the world around them and explore ways in which art becomes a platform for storytelling and advocacy.

Take a look at some of the youth-made art and the process through which has been made so far.
